Andrew Davidson & Co. Inc. was founded in 1992 by Andrew Davidson, its sole proprietor. The company's goal was to provide institutional fixed-income investors with high quality consulting services, research, and intellectual property aimed at yielding advanced, quantitative solutions to asset management issues.

Beginning with three employees in its New York City location, the company initially advised major financial institutions, mostly depositories, in the development and implementation of asset-liability strategies. The company also assisted mortgage originators in generating appropriate pipeline hedging procedures, and worked on a variety of fixed-income trading, valuation and risk analyses.

Since the firm's inception, the scope of services has grown substantially. Currently, Andrew Davidson & Co., Inc. provides a host of consulting services from basic MBS securities valuation, return forecasting and hedging, to the development and implementation of multi-product / multi-manager, firm-wide risk management and performance attribution systems. The company's other primary focus has been on marketing its proprietary, fixed-income valuation tools: MBS prepayment models; ABS prepayment models; interest rate models and other risk management / valuation software. The company's clients include some of the world's largest and most successful financial institutions and investment managers.
