Lan-Ling Fredell
Coordination

Lan-Ling Fredell serves as Steward at Andrew Davidson & Co., Inc. (AD&Co). Her leadership focuses on long-term strategy and execution, operational excellence, and nurturing the company’s unique corporate culture. She rejoined AD&Co in March 2026. 

Prior to working at AD&Co, Lan-Ling spent seven years at PA Consulting Group where she headed the Risk & Regulatory Practice in Sweden, focusing on financial crime prevention, data and technology, and sourcing third-party vendors for clients throughout the Nordics. She was responsible for strategy, business growth, and building a high performing team of consultants spanning compliance, risk management, operating model, and delivery talent.

Lan-Ling worked as an entrepreneur and a founder between 1997 and 2016, with roles ranging from COO at the Stockholm Fintech Hub, to CFO and Managing Director at the Fredell Group. At the Stockholm Fintech Hub, she was part of the founding team dedicated to partnerships within the Fintech ecosystem, designing and implementing product strategy and operations, as well as closing partnerships.  At Fredell & Co, she held a variety of roles starting with leading a debt advisory business, structuring asset-backed securities and other public and private debt issuance where the firm won awards for innovative MBS deal structures.  She was a founder and sat on the Board of Directors for EuropeLoan Bank, the first pan-European internet mortgage bank, and was part of the acquisition team for Seamless Distribution AB, an early European-wide mobile payments wallet. During this period, she teamed up with Andrew Davidson as a co-author of Securitization: Structuring and Investment Analysis, focusing on evaluation of the European securitization market. Lan-Ling began her career in finance at AD&Co where she worked as an analyst from 1993 to 1996. As an analyst, she researched commercial mortgages and worked with consulting clients.  She also helped with editing and writing the books Collateralized Mortgage Obligations and The Mortgage-Backed Securities Workbook.

Lan-Ling has a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Economics and English Literature, with honors, from University of California at Santa Cruz.
